Farm grant schemes get green light from EU

The approval of farm grant schemes by the European Union was announced yesterday by Agriculture and Food Minister Joe Walsh.

He said the EU has approved with immediate effect the revised farm waste management and dairy hygiene schemes.

Farm leaders welcomed the approvals as a reflection of agreements reached with the Government in the social partnership negotiations last year.
