Prime land on offer at E500,000 an acre
The land, which is on the edge of the town’s residential zoning, but is not zoned itself, will nonetheless draw huge attention, predicts the Cahalane Skuse agent, and he’s giving a guide price of E500,000 per acre.
The new Yukon for property developers, Mallow also took the prize in last year’s round up of farm sales, when local farmer Denis Crowley sold 200 acres of land close to Mallow Castle for a deal reputed to be worth E40 million, to local developer, John Barry.
The same farmer then picked up an excellent tillage farm at Cahir for close to E3.3 million, through Stokes and Quirke auctioneers.
The land at Oliver’s Cross has a mile of road frontage and is laid out in five divisions. It’s an excellent piece of pasture ground and is very level, says the agent.
Mr Cahalane has already had interest from builders and developers and the land could make serious money when it goes to auction on July 14.
